YES or NO?

Tima kasih la kat ko an3l al0n3 sebab prihatin kat aku, tanya samada aku suka ke tak role baru tu. Sebenarnya aku suka sangat-sangat, memang bidang ni dah blend dengan aku. Tapi cenggini ekkk, biar aku berterus terang je la kenapakah hari-hari kelmarin kurasakan amat cilaka sekali...

Structure kompeni aku skang, paling atas is CEO, of course. Kang kalau aku letak nama aku atas sekali harus meroyan musuh-musuh aku. So, bawah CEO ada 3 orang Vice President (VP) yang sah-sah BOD.

(i) VP1 (background Biotech, Manchester. Inilah bos aku skang. Starting June dia tukar jawatan lain, sedih okkkkkkkk)
(ii) VP2 (background Pharmaceutical, USA. Ini bakal bos baru aku)
(iii) VP3 (background Biotech, Manchester)

Basically VPs ni tak buat apa la kot, sebab dia tukang kira profit masing-masing hujung tahun, so abaikan.

Bawah VP-VP yang lain aku taknak cerita sebab bukan bidang aku, jadik harus aku bolayan. Bawah VP2 ada 4 HEAD. Salah seorang HEAD ni la yang bakal kasik aku HEADache selagi hayat dikandung kompeni.

4 HEAD ni dibahagikan kepada,

HEAD 1 (biotech, UKM) :
Equipment bussiness

HEAD 2 (tolong jangan tanya aku apekah certificate dia. Misteri) :
Consumables bussiness

HEAD 3 (biotech, UM) :
Keyaccount bussiness

HEAD 4 (biology, UKM):
Dealer bussiness

Bawah HEAD-HEAD ni ada 2 Managers, one of them aku. Yang sorang tu takyah tau la sebab dia tak hensem (apekah kaitannya?).

So, dia still kekalkan ko as manager, mengapakah dikau tetap mengamuk?

Ok, backbone of this company is Life Science. TAPI, VP aku orang clinical. HEAD aku tu lansung takde kene-mengena ngan Science, ntah macamana dia boleh duduk kat kerusi HEAD ni. Muskil. Most probably sebab dia senior and kengkonon berjasa pada nusa, agama dan negara. Atau mungkin CEO aku saje gatal letak dia kat position tu.

Once upon a time.........life science punya team memang strong. Semua yang handle life science market memang asal-asalnya budak biotech.

Bila kompeni gila ni buat grouping exercise, CEO sudah dismantle the whole group, so under Life Science dia pi letak aku as Manager, budak-budak aku semua budak baru yang TAKDE kaitan dengan biotech. Ok now look, VP aku orang clinical, HEAD aku takde kena-mengena lansung, aku satu-satunya budak Life Science, budak bawah aku yang berbondong-bondong tu semuanya memang budak science tapi tempias biotech pun takde. Tapi suruh handle Life Science. Pastu kasik target bermillion-million suruh aku achieve.

Aku : This team is not strong at all. I need sumone from Life Science to help me out.
CEO : No need, we want to see how you mould them. I want to see how you develop the unit.

Aku : How can you expect me to run this whole team when you know none of them are from Biotech line? Not even my HEAD (nama kekal rahsia sebab keji sangat nama dia). Should there be any difficulties with regards to Life Science arise in future, who am I going to refer to?
CEO : You can always ask the other VPs and you can also ask HEAD 3 to assist you. (pastu sengih)

Taik la ngongggg.
Ko dah letak aku under VP2, under HEAD2 ni, pastu kalau ada masalah aku pi rujuk VP lain? Pi rujuk HEAD lain? Tak ke aku overrule bos namanya? KONON jadik bos Life Science, tapi haram jadah tak tau apekah menatangnya life science tu. Aku macam keje sorang-sorang. Skang boleh la ko cakap aku bleh tanya VP ni la, VP tu la, boleh mintak HEAD 3 tolong (seresss punya terer life science dia ni).

Pundekkkkk.

Skang diorang belum nampak lagi apa task masing-masing boleh la ko kata diorang boleh tolong aku. Sok-sok keje dah bersusun-susun, aku baru bagi salamelekom, dia dah pekik 'You kan ada bos, you tanya la bos u. I ada banyak keje nak buat ni'.

'Kau ingat aku hingin sangat nak tanya ko? Sebab bos aku amat bangang makanya aku carik ko. Kalau bos aku terer, aku tak pandang muka ko pun . Aku bagi bontot je!'

CEO : Tell me, what is bothering you?
Aku : I cannot work under HEAD 2.

CEO : Why? Is it personal or work-related?
Aku : Both

CEO : Explain.
Aku : First, why her? Why did you put me under her? Why not under HEAD 3?

CEO : Why not? (macam cilaka kan? Tapi takpe, aku maafkan dia sebab dia warga emas)

Aku :
First, she knows nothing about Life Science, not even a basic Science.
Second, she got attitude problem.
Third, why must I agree to work under her?
Fourth, you've left me with no option.
Fifth, why did you put SF (one of the main contributor of Life Science) under Equipment Bussiness when you know she is good at Consumables Bussiness?

CEO : (brengset budak gemuk ni, berani soal aku sambil buat muka cilaka kerek ye? Ko tau tak ko tu kuli aku? Aku buang kang)

Aku : (Oo, berani keji aku dalam hati ye. Cakap la terang-terang. Penakut. Bodoh. Orang tua gatal)

CEO : I admit her knowledge about Life Science is not as good as you, but I have a good picture on her. I know your capability, I put trust on you, I know you can build a better unit.

Ntah hapa-hapa punya jawapan, yang aku tanya si HEAD tu, yang ko susah -payah kaji aku pehal?

CEO : About attitude, alaaa, everyone got attitude problem, even KM (bos aku skang) also ada attitude problem. You have to be profesional Diana, work is work, personal is personal.

Aku : But, does she knows how to work profesionally? I know everyone have attitude problem, but her attitude problem is recognized by everyone here. I've once work under her, I know how she treat her people. Did you realize that our problem is who to put under her? The problem boils down to one thing - none of us agree to work with her. If you can switch her with HEAD 3, we could spare our headache for sumthing else.

CEO : No, positions remain unchanged.

Ohhh, pandai. Suruh aku be profesional. Apa ko tak tau ke aku memang pro????? PROgol! Aku rogol bini ko kang! Semua orang taknak keje under dia ko boleh accept, aku taknak keje under dia ko taknak accept. Come on la, if you wanna work professionally, apply to all.

Nak je aku ludah muka dia ni. Maka berlalulah aku dari bilik CEO itu dengan dendam kesumat di hati. Tau tak yang ko tu baru je beli BMW 7 series? Aku cakar keta ko nak? Mati kejung ko kat car park tu kang.

Maknanya skang, bos aku si HEAD2 tu hanya jadik tukang sign dokumen. Jika ada sebarang masalah tentang Life Science sila pandai-pandai settlekan sendiri. Kalau tak reti nak settle sendiri, bolehlah print surat resign yang sedia ada dalam laptop. Sekian.

So, cakap kat aku. Macamana harus aku tak bengang? Budak-budak yang selama ni bawak profit untuk kompeni dia pi campak-campak kat tempat lain ntah haper keje pun aku tak tau. Konon nak bagi budak-budak ni experience benda baru. So, tinggalkan aku kat Life Science sorang bagi aku develop and mould ya KANAK budu ya KANAK sta'in yang baru-baru ni. Kalau saya berjaya menshape all these none biotech people turn to be specialist in biotech maka bolehla mengundang World Book of Records untuk mengambil gambar saya sebagai pencetus miracle. Lepas itu sudilah kiranya membagi saya Nobel Prize pula.

Kesian kengkawan aku yang lain yang sama-sama build Life Science market with TEARS okkkkkk. Kena hambat ngan bos, kena maki ngan customer, kena cut salary kalau tak perform, bila nama kompeni dah semakin gah, campakkkk yang power-power kat tempat lain, gantikan ngan orang baru. Lain la kalau we have so many good people, really one is spoilt for choice.

CEO : Nevermind, you try them first. If later you find out they really can't work, I can always get new people for you.

Ye la pakcikkkkk. By the time aku discover dorang tak perform, market pun dah spoilt.

Ada budak Life Science kat sini tapi ko tak nak ambik jadik HEAD aku, pi bubuh yang ntah mana bukit mari. HEAD2 ni aku cakap ko, she can't even manage herself. Datang opis pun lambat. Konon pi jumpa customer. Masuk opis kol 11am, rambut still basah. Apa kesss? Ko mandi kat lab customer ke? Nak suruh diri sendiri bangun pagi pun tak boleh, let alone nak manage orang.

Lepas aku kuar dari bilik CEO, aku pun mengumpat dengan HEAD 3 ni kat YM..

We have specialist here but you junk them into not so important team. You are working in life science, and you should know it needs highly technical people. It's not that I look down at the new people, but I need a senior within the team. We are dealing with life sciences, suddenly you remove all the core people, what's in his head la?????
